Before I commit to a series, I share here some standalone works that may or may not make it into a larger body of work. These works are unplanned, and naive.

The colors I use are usually very warm and muted. I like to use a limited color scheme that's evocative all the places and smells and sounds that make me feel safe (the themes though, don't always agree).
Some contemporary(&ish) artists whose work speaks to me: Terrence Greer, Yuichi Kojima, Hope Gangloff, Lewis Rossignol, David Stone Martin, Satoru Abe, Hans Hoffman, Dorothea Tanning, Kerry James Marshall, interestingly Mickalene Thomas, Wendy Chazin
And then some: Egon Schiele, Amedeo Modigliani, Francisco Goya, Henri Matisse, John Singer Sargent
